Short Beach is the western most part of Branford, Connecticut along Long Island Sound. During the 19th and 20th centuries vacationers came to Short Beach via trolley or automobile to stay in one of three hotels or in one of the many cottages along the shore. In 1883 residents built a non-denominational chapel, which still provides religious services and hosts community events. Today, Short Beach is a unique year round village noted for its beautiful shoreline and community spirit. This disk contains scans of 120 postcards from the early 1900s.
