Double Beach, Lanphiers Cove, and Brocketts Point in the western section of Branford, Connecticut were settled in the mid-18th century by the Linsley and Lanphier families. The Double Beach Hotel entertained summer guests for over one hundred years and was later the site of a private beach club. Today, Double Beach, Lanphiers Cove, Brocketts Point, and Johnsons Point are unique shoreline neighborhoods with year-round residents and summer camps all with excellent views of Branford Harbor.
