2025 Branford Historical Society Annual Meeting

**FORMAT CHANGE THIS YEAR**
This year’s Annual Meeting will not include a sit-down dinner. Instead, we will have passed hors d’oeuvres, and we will continue to have a cash-bar.
Our By-Laws state that we must have an Annual Meeting each spring to update the members of the Society about its activities during the year. We always hold this event as a break-even activity, and not as a fundraiser.
When we first started holding this meeting, it was a simple affair, but over time it evolved to include a dinner. This used to be held pot-luck style at The Community House. As years passed, it evolved again to include a plated dinner with hors d’oeuvres, drinks, dessert, etc. For many years we held this at The Owenego, and then The Pine Orchard Club, and more recently, at Woodwinds. Each year, we try to achieve a good balance of cost and consistency as well as meet traditional expectations. But due to the high increases in recent years, and out of a desire to not price anyone out of this Annual Meeting, we have decided to evolve the format once again.
For 2025, we will have a 1920’s theme to go along with our presentation about the prohibition era and bootlegging scene in Branford. We are excited to have you join us, and we hope you will let us know what you think about these changes after attending this year.
Two Ways to Make Your Reservation
1) The Reservation Online option by filling out the online
form and paying with a debit/credit card
2) The Reservation By Mail option by printing out the
paper form and mailing it in with a check
*We do not accept “split reservations”
(i.e. Online Form with Mail-In Payment)
*Reservations are due no later than May 1st

with select hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar
7:00 pm – Annual Meeting, Honorary Member Award,
Dessert, & Raffle
8:00 pm – Evening Presentation
